AMERICA VOTES’ LARGEST EVER MOBILIZATION EFFORT TARGETS KEY DEMOGRAPHICS IN BATTLEGROUND STATES

With just over 24 hours before the polls close, America Votes announced that their coalition has surpassed 42.6 million door knocks in the key battleground states of Arizona, Nevada, Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Georgia, and North Carolina, with 8 million door knocks in the last week alone. The coalition has exceeded 52.8 million door knocks across all the states where America Votes partners are working this year. 

The America Votes coalition has also made over 79 million phone calls to engage voters. 

America Votes’ program is especially focused on engaging young and diverse voters, with 58% percent of outreach going to communities of color and 38% going to voters under 35. Outreach is also targeting Democratic-leaning new registrants and “Blue Surge” voters who voted while Trump was in the White House in 2018 and/or 2020, but have not turned out before or since. 

“The stakes of this year’s election could not be higher. With everything from our fundamental freedoms to the foundations of our democracy on the ballot, it has never been more important for every voter to make their voice heard,” America Votes Executive Director Daria Dawson said.  “America Votes has leveled up our program to meet the moment, running a massive voter outreach campaign that is cutting through the noise to connect with and mobilize the voters who will make the difference this year. We have already seen results, with record-breaking early voting turnout in many states, but our work is not done. In an election this close, every vote counts, and we will be knocking doors and making calls until the polls close.”
