Today will bring the conclusion of the America Votes Georgia coalition’s massive turnout effort, with 60+ groups making over 55 million voter contact attempts since November 4 to turn out voters.

Highlights of the coalition’s effort include:

  • More than 9 million doors knocked, leading to nearly 2.7 million conversations with voters at the doors about how to safely vote in the runoff.
  • More than 22 million phone calls made to get out the vote
  • More than 21 million text messages sent to get out the vote

America Votes President Greg Speed said, “The incredible work of over 60 partner groups in Georgia over the past nine weeks is the America Votes coalition’s largest-ever voter mobilization program. We’re having conversations with voters at their doors at higher rates than we’ve ever seen before. You can see the impact of this grassroots engagement in the historic turnout for early voting led by the Black, youth, and voters of color we’re reaching in the field.”

America Votes Georgia State Director Leslie Small said, “Our diverse coalition has once again ‘Spread Out The Vote’ — encouraging Georgians to vote early, to allow for short lines and social distancing at the polls on Election Day, and over 3 million ballots have already been cast. Today, we hope to knock up to one million more doors to keep up the momentum throughout Election Day. Until the polls close at 7 pm tonight, our coalition is focused on getting out every last vote.”

America Votes Georgia partners conducting door knocking include BlackPAC, UNITE HERE, New Georgia Project, Care in Action, Mijente, Working Families Party, Black Male Voter Project, NACA, AAAF, WEAF, UFCW, Mi Familia Vota, Planned Parenthood Votes, Save Our Senate PAC, People for Government PAC, CASA GA, SURJ, Black Men Build, Working America Georgia, Poder Latinx, 1,000 Women Strong Now, Indivisible, and more. Door knocking efforts have been layered with other efforts to reach voters, including mail, digital ads, TV ads, and relational organizing.
