WASHINGTON– With four days remaining in the 2026 midterm elections, America Votes Executive Director Daria C. Dawson issued the following update as coalition partners enter the final weekend of voter mobilization: 

“Our partners have dramatically  increased the scale of their programs in these final weeks, and they are entering GOTV weekend ready to reach even more voters. On Wednesday alone, America Votes partners had more than 100,000 one-on-one conversations with voters in a single day – a reflection of how programs are accelerating as Election Day approaches. 

“Across this cycle, the America Votes coalition has now had more than 5.1 million conversations with voters, including 3.5 million face-to-face conversations at people’s front doors. That work is happening across 27 states and in races up and down the ballot — from Congress and state legislatures to local offices making decisions that directly affect people’s lives. 

“And this year, that work is happening in more places. Our partners are mobilizing voters in states where our coalition has worked for years and in communities far beyond the states and races that traditionally receive the most national attention. 

“Our partners have also registered over 1.2  million voters nationwide. This work is not only about turning out people who already participate. It is also about bringing more people into the process, building an electorate that better reflects our communities, and giving them the tools to make their voices heard now, and in elections to come.

“The pace of this work will only increase over the next four days. Our partners know their communities.They know how to reach voters. And after months of engagement,  they are prepared to keep going until the final polls close on Tuesday. 

“This is what the final stage of a sustained field program looks like: taking relationships and conversations built throughout the election cycle and turning them into participation.”
